Unleash your child's creativity with North Hills Art Center classes and workshops.


  • Classes are designed to be age-appropriate. Please make sure you are enrolling your child in a class that matches his or her current age.
  • For the safety of your child, we require prompt pick-up after class.
  • Remember to have your child wear old clothes.
  • Please let us know in advance if your child has any special needs.
  • All North Hills Art Center instructors have the required PA Clearances.
  • Consider a $25 student membership, which costs less than the $30 nonmember fee!

  • WSC-510 Photo Hula Hoop (FA25)

    Ages 11-13

    In this creative class, kids will transform hula hoops in stunning photo wall hangings! A playful mix of art and personal expression, you bring the photos and we supply the rest! All materials included (except the photos).

  • WSH-9 Hispanic & Latino Month Workshop: Make your own God's Eye (FA25)

    Come learn about the origins of an Ojo de Dios, or God's Eye in this weaving workshop. It is a spiritual and symbolic woven craft that originated from the Huichol, and indigenous people of Mexico. While it's pretty basic weaving using yarn and a cross, it has a very deep spiritual meaning and is used for prayer, protection and connection to the spiritual world. All materials included.

    Get ready to create, explore, and experiment! In this hands-on art class, kids will dive into the world of process art—where the making is just as exciting as the masterpiece. We'll use recycled and found materials to paint, build, and invent one-of-a-kind creations. No two projects are the same, and there's no "right" way to make art—just imagination, curiosity, and lots of fun! All materials included.

  • WSH-10 German & Polish Heritage (FA25)

    Ages 10+


    In Germany, paper cut out art is called Scherenschnitte. The Wycinanki, created in Poland were large, intricate and layered. We will choose one of two patterns, both featuring delicate, symmetrical designs to try our hand at this art form. We will then use a pattern to create the Wycinanki rooster. All materials included.

    The beauty of the Navajo rug, or Diyogi, lies in the many different symbols and their different meanings. Come learn about the Navajo symbols; choose one and craft a meaningful paper rug at this workshop. All materials included.
